Hey fashionistas! September 6th, 2012. A night where we all take a moment and  celebrate Fashion, and thats exactly what Downtown Riverside did. My school The Art Institute was involved in producing the fashion show for Fashions Night Out in Downtown Riverside! Let me just begin to say, it was an amazing show we produced!  I would like to thank all my fashion friends, we did it guys! I was a stylist/dresser for the guys backstage. Let me just say,  CRAZY CHAOS!! I have always seen in movies and Tvs how crazy it gets backstage at a fashion show, but that is nothing until you live it! Such an adrenaline rush! My two models were amazing, so nice! Hey fashionistas!  Long time no blog huh?! I apologize but im back.  I have been busy with school work and putting together 2 fashion shows! I will be covering those shows in later posts. Anyway, my friend asked me for fashion advice for his trip to Vegas soon,  so here i created 2 outfits that could be worn in the hot Vegas weather! One for the night and one casual for the day. Hey fashionistas! I am sure most of you know what Fashions Night Out is! Well, this year will be the second year FNO will be held in Downtown Riverside, California! They have added a new element to the whole show. A style and design competition, they are calling it Fashion Star! Here is where i need YOUR help fashionistas! Another great week of school has passed! Time sure flies by doesn't it? I just wanted to share what i wore this week to my classes. Summer is here and fashionistas are having tons of fun with  cool summer outfits and playing with color.  Accessories can really help make a bold statement in your outfit.  What about making your hair the statement? Recently i have been watching Grav3yardgirl a lot on YouTube. She has an amazing sense of style & I love how  she incorporates spikes, studs and random stuff you normally wouldn't  think of wearing, and pulls out awesome outfits. A hot trend this spring/summer season is Color Blocking! Summer in Southern California is no joke.  It's a bit hard to think of fashion when the only thing on your mind is the heat! Here is a simple outfit, stylish, yet can keep you cool in those hot summer days. enjoy ;) Start with a dark wash denim shorts and a simple stripped v-neck,  I chose a coral color to add a bit of color,  add boat shoes or in this outfit TOMS the same color as the shirt, to add a bit of flow to  your outfit. For accessories add a brim hat to add more style to your look. Last, a watch or bracelets on your wrist and a pair of  Aviator sunglasses to take on that scorching summer sun! Hey fashion lovers!  Spring is here and summer is around the corner.  I have been seeing a lot of girls wearing floral tops, making their outfits  a bit vintage looking.  Here is my take on how i would style a floral blouse for this spring/sumer. enjoy :) Start off with the floral blouse and some distressed maybe even high waisted denim shorts. pair it with some oxford-ish type nude shoe. a simple brown bag. Add a couple bangles and simple earrings. add a heavy layer of mascara with a nude lip. Last, throw your hair in a messy bun and you have your Vintage Floral look for the spring.  The World is your runway, strut!

What comes to mind when you think Spring?  For me, its Flowers. How about wearing flowers? Not literally obviously. Spring 2012 will bring an array of floral prints for garments. Similar to the woman's color palette, mens trends for the upcoming season  will consist of bold and bright colors.   Here is picture of the colors will be trending for men.  Also, I have been reading mens magazines and it has featured a lot of bold  color but also, neutral vintage colors.      ..and here is a more neutral take on Spring 2012.    Whatever color you decide to wear this season,  just make sure to make it your own and remember....
